Carl Brody -Mechanic

• A recovering corporate VP, he’s jettisoned the New York City rat race for Portland Oregon, though he still wears a suit to work.  He has remarkable enthusiasm and optimism, and still claims that he fractured his hand on the wall in self-defense.  

Laura Busse -Medical/Nutrition

• Dan’s wife.  Rather than filing divorce papers for the amount of time he’s spent training for the race, she’s decided to join him.  Full of energy and creative ideas, she’s promised not to say, “I told you so.”

• Home: 2 nearly weaned children, ages 22 & 20.
• Colorado Native born MANY moons ago, now living near Cortez, Colorado for 25 years.
• Currently share space with 2 cats, 2 dogs & 1 puppy.
• Work: School Psychologist (don’t worry: I don’t work on anyone over 18, so you’re all safe!)
• Play: swim, garden, travel, read, talk, do Mom things

Dani Gregory-Nutrition

Dani Gregory (Wife of Shawn Gregory, Rider), Dani was born in Colorado, grew up in Wyoming and currently lives in Dolores Colorado and is pregnant with their first child. She enjoys mounting biking, boating, running, and camping in both the mountains and the desert. She has participated in many bike races (racing and support) and has been directly involved in organizing local bike races including the 12 Hours of Mesa Verde mountain bike race in Cortez Colorado. Dani is president of the local Mountain Bike club and has organized local women's rides which have grown every year creating a large female mountain biking presence where there was very view before.

• Lived first 23 years in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
• Lived one year in Germany.
• Taught 6th grade for 8 years in Ganado, Arizona
• Currently living in Cortez, Co.
• Currently teaching English as a Second Language to grades 6-8
• Just beginning my biking career.
• Other interests: skiing, sleeping, hiking, knitting.
